The MaxxECU engine control package is an advanced replacement for the original control unit in the Porsche 968 3.0 16V equipped with Bosch Motronic M2.10.1. MaxxECU supports the Porsche 968 3.0 16V and offers:
• Sequential fuel injection for optimal fuel efficiency, throttle response, and performance.
• Full control of the original VarioCam system.
• Broadband lambda sensor with active control for precise fuel tuning.
• Preserved functionality of the instrument cluster, AC, etc.
• Support for the original crankshaft and camshaft sensors.
• Support for Launch Control and Traction Control for maximum acceleration and traction.
• Support for upgrading to E-Throttle.
• Support for upgrading to a Wastefire ignition coil.
Installation and Compatibility:
No cutting of wires or modification of the car’s original wiring harness is required. Installation takes about an hour, and the car can easily be restored to its original configuration. The included intake air temperature sensor is the only component that needs to be installed in addition to the standard sensors. Unfortunately, the MaxxECU Street cannot be used with this plug-and-play system, as it has too few outputs. Kit contents:
• MaxxECU Sport or Race control unit, or without a control unit depending on your selection.
• Adapter harness for Porsche 968 with Bosch Motronic M2.10.1.
• Deutsch DTM 1/8NPT intake air temperature sensor.
• Ignition amplifier for use with the original ignition coil and distributor.
• Manual and installation instructions in Swedish and English.
Base Map and Mapping:
A custom-tuned base map is included, configured for the Porsche 968 3.0 16V with stock fuel injectors, stock trigger system, and VarioCam. We strongly recommend that it be reviewed and adjusted by a professional tuner for optimal performance, function, and safety. Contact us for more information and assistance with mapping.
